Journal Policies

Peer Review Policy

IJESER employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published research.

  • Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field.
  • Reviewers are blinded to author identities, and authors are blinded to reviewer identities.
  • Reviewers evaluate submissions for originality, methodology, clarity, relevance, and significance.
  • Authors receive detailed feedback and decision letters within 2-3 weeks.
  • Final decisions are made by the Editor based on reviewer recommendations.

Ethical Guidelines

IJESER adheres to international standards of research ethics and publication integrity.

For Authors

  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. All submissions are screened for originality.
  • Conflict of interest must be disclosed by all authors at the time of submission.
  • Research involving humans or animals must comply with ethical standards and institutional approvals.
  • Authors should ensure that their work is original and properly cites all sources.
  • Duplicate submission or publication is not allowed.
  • All co-authors must have contributed significantly to the research and approve the final version.

For Reviewers

  • Reviewers should maintain confidentiality of the review process.
  • Reviews should be objective, constructive, and timely.
  • Reviewers should declare any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Reviewers should not use unpublished information for personal advantage.

For Editors

  • Editors evaluate manuscripts based on intellectual content without discrimination.
  • Editors handle submissions with confidentiality and impartiality.
  • Editors should recuse themselves from handling submissions with conflicts of interest.

Similarity Index Policy

To uphold academic integrity, all submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • Maximum allowed similarity index: 15%
  • Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned for revision before formal review.
  • Submissions with high similarity to a single source may be rejected outright.
  • All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software.

Open Access Policy

IJESER is committed to open access principles:

  • All articles are freely available to readers immediately upon publication.
  • No subscription or pay-per-view fees are required to access content.
  • Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the license to publish.
  • Content can be freely cited, shared, and used with appropriate attribution.
  • Articles are distributed under Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.

Copyright Policy

  • Authors retain copyright of their published work.
  • Authors grant IJESER the right of first publication and license to publish.
  • After publication, authors may distribute their work (e.g., in institutional repositories) with acknowledgment of IJESER as the original publisher.
  • Third parties may use, share, and adapt the work with proper attribution.

Publication Ethics

IJESER follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal is committed to:

  • Investigating and addressing allegations of research misconduct.
  • Retracting or correcting articles when necessary.
  • Maintaining the integrity of the academic record.
  • Ensuring transparency in the publication process.
  • Protecting the confidentiality of authors and reviewers.

Conflict of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could inappropriately influence their work. Conflicts of interest may include:

  • Employment or affiliations
  • Research grants or funding
  • Honoraria or speaking fees
  • Stock ownership or patents
  • Personal relationships

Data Sharing Policy

IJESER encourages authors to make their research data available to promote reproducibility and transparency. Authors may:

  • Include data as supplementary material.
  • Deposit data in public repositories.
  • Provide a data availability statement in the manuscript.

Digital Archiving

IJESER ensures long-term preservation of published content through:

  • Institutional repository at Federal Polytechnic Wannune.
  • Participation in digital preservation networks.
  • Regular backups and maintenance of the journal website.
